Declan’s Experience

In 2016 Declan was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School. He further holds a Higher Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Studies from Independent Colleges.

Declan began working with clients in 2014, completing his clinical placement in Ballymun before taking up private practice in Dublin city centre. He is a fully accredited member of IACP, working within their code of ethics.

In 2021 Declan was awarded a Diploma in Group Work Practice from the School of Psychotherapy, at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. As part of this training, Declan completed a clinical placement at After Care Recovery Group, a specialist addiction recovery service, facilitating both psychoeducational and group therapy sessions.

Trained in both the humanistic and psychodynamic traditions, Declan works with the individual to find that approach which works best for them.
