Nicole is a psychotherapist and an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (IACP) in Ireland. She is originally from the United States where she completed an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Education in Roanoke, Virginia. She then moved to New York City where she earned a master’s degree in Social Work and practiced as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for several years, providing psychotherapy and mental health assessment services to a wide range of clients.
Nicole has gained extensive experience providing teen, adult, couples and family therapy over the past eight years before moving to Dublin in 2018. During her time in New York, Nicole worked at an outpatient addiction/mental health facility where she assessed and treated people struggling with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, family/relationship issues as well as general difficulties adjusting to life changes.
Her treatment approach is client-driven and is based on experiences of the diverse populations with whom she has worked. She uses an integrative mix of talk therapy, motivational interviewing and CBT, grounded in strengths perspective. Nicole’s goal is to create a safe and supportive space where she can collaborate with a client in identifying goals and then work with the client to bring about transformation and opportunity.
