Dr Jayne Grimes is a Counselling Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. Jayne has trained and practiced as a Counselling Psychologist within a range of settings in the UK and Ireland for over twelve years. She has worked for many years in the NHS, including in primary care and outpatient settings as well as a specialist trauma service and a forensic service.
She has maintained a busy private practice throughout this time. She has practiced as a Psychologist and managed various mental health projects within the NGO sector, and she has a specialist interest in working with asylum seekers and cross-cultural issues.
She has extensive experience working with a broad range of mental health related problems ranging from the mild to severe. She has completed further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and uses this approach in much of her work. She works with a pragmatic and goal-oriented focus.
Prior to working in the mental health field, she worked as an Occupational Psychologist in a corporate context for over ten years. Jayne is the Occupational Mental Health Lead for Spectrum Mental Health.
