About Appointments
Your first appointment with us will be your Initial Consultation, where we will:
- Find out more about you
- Begin to explore and understand the challenges you are facing
- Establish what your needs are
- Explain our services to you, and how we may be able to help
Based on what you tell us, and on our clinical knowledge, we can give you clear recommendations for the type of treatment that’s just right for what you are experiencing, and can assign you the most suitable therapist.
Our initial consultation appointments are for self–paying adults, aged 18 and over, and can take place online or in-person at one of our clinic locations most convenient to you. The fee for the session is €85, and its duration is 45 minutes.
For more information on the Initial Consultation Appointment, click here.
Generally we can get you an appointment on the same day you contact us, or at least during the next business day after you contact us. Early treatment means a speedier recovery. Our clinic diaries and availability is viewable on each clinic page for online booking.

Due to the high demand for Centric Mental Health sessions a cancellation fee of 100% will apply for less than 2 Working days cancellation notice or non-attendance. Please note, due to a long waiting list, repeated cancellations may result in the loss of a space being held in a clinician’s diary.
This is your therapy, therefore we try to create a culture of feedback in order to best provide what you need from the process. Clinicians at Centric Mental Health work according to a Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) model. Each session, you can expect your clinician to ask you to complete two brief scales with your feedback, each taking less than one minute to complete, in order to track how you’re doing and how you’re finding the therapy.
The purpose of this is to
- track how you’re doing in therapy over time in order to identify changes, and
- get feedback on what you believe is going well versus not so well in your therapy, so that your clinician can tailor the work to fit your needs.
Centric Mental Health’s clinicians are based in the Republic of Ireland, and as such they can only provide services to individuals who are physically in the Republic of Ireland during their sessions. This is due to insurance and regulatory differences between countries and thus we are not able to provide psychotherapy services to people who are outside of the Republic of Ireland at the current time.
Your first session is an intake session where your therapist will develop a treatment plan and will outline to you the expected number of sessions to be booked. Our research indicates that after 3 sessions the majority of our clients report an improvement.
We do accept GP referrals but you can also book yourself in by calling us on 6111719 or booking online.

COVID-19
Clients are no longer required to wear a face mask during face-to-face therapy sessions, but can do so if they wish. In the interest of public health, we ask clients that have been diagnosed with Covid-19 or have been instructed to self-isolate or quarantine to not attend for face-to-face sessions until the required timeframe as instructed by the HSE has passed. Appointments booked for face-to-face sessions can be easily changed to online or phone sessions. We abide by the HSE guidelines (https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/covid19/).
