Eileen’s Experience

Eileen is an registered member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy from IICP and Diploma in Counselling from ITT. Eileen has worked across Kildare Counselling Service and her own private practice, and has also worked and volunteered across an Addiction In-Patient Centre, Youth and Family Services, and charity services including ALONE.

Eileen is an experienced, competent, compassionate and person-centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist. Focusing on a humanistic approach in her practice, grounded in the principles of congruence, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, Eileen allows clients to relate to their feelings/emotions in an accepting environment. This includes developing clients’ psychological resilience, and fostering awareness of their authentic self.

Additionally, Eileen also takes an eclectic approach to meeting the needs of clients from a variety of backgrounds. People come to see Eileen in times of stress and distress, or in seek of help for a range of issues, including abuse, addiction, adjusting to change/life transitions, anger management issues, anxiety disorders, personal growth, self-esteem, illness, relationship issues, shame, and trauma.

  • BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy – IICP
  • Training in Neuropsychology and Neuroscience
  • Registered member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP)
