Deirdre has experience working as a counsellor and psychotherapist since 2013 with both adults and couples. Her client centred approach supports those she works with integrate coping skills into their life to deal with their current difficulties. She focuses on assertiveness, communication in relationships, grounding exercises for anxiety, developing self-worth, self-confidence and self-esteem. She also has experience supporting clients around the impact of abuse or violence. She has worked in private practice, one centre in Crumlin and the other centre in Celbridge. Her approach is client centred and choice theory model. She has experience with a diverse range of clients from anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self esteem issues, career choices, work/life balance etc. She values trust, honesty, integrity, congruence, respect, fairness, humility and unconditional positive regard. With couples she works on conflict resolution and communication skills in particular.

Deirdre is an accredited psychotherapist with a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University and a Dip in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College.
