Qualifications & Education
Bridge is a Counselling Psychologist and a graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). Bridge completed a Higher Diploma in Psychology in Trinity College Dublin and went on to receive her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from Trinity. Bridge has also received additional training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Her doctoral research focused on the treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
Bridge has worked with clients in different settings such as primary care, youth services and acute adult mental health settings, both inpatient and outpatient. This afforded her the opportunity to help clients from a range of backgrounds in individual therapy as well as group therapy and workshops. She has worked with clients experiencing difficulties such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders, interpersonal difficulties and trauma. Bridge also has experience with psychometric testing and clinical assessment work.
Bridge uses an integrative approach and tailor’s treatment to individual client’s needs. She primarily works using Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Psychodynamic-based therapies.
